Good Luck at Good Will

I made a trip to Good Will on my lunch hour one day this past week.  It was a good day for going.  They had lots of things that were good.  Two lovely white cabinets were at the front of the store and another lady and I made a bee line to them.  Ugh.....they were already sold.  They were both in excellent condition.  There were also two black book cases and I kinda wish I had bought one of them to use at the lake house.  But I didn't.  I didn't come away empty handed though.  I went  to the fabrics bin.  Whoo-hoo.  Did they have some goodies!  Look what I got for around $7.77.  Everything in this photo.  The bag of trim included the huge tassel and was around $4.00.  The candle was $2, (never lit), Anjou Pear,  and the candle ring was about $2, and I got a senior discount.  The candle ring looks rough, but I'll work on it and make it better.

I've already re-worked the candle ring by adding some more leaves to it and straightening it out a little.  Made myself a fall arrangement by adding it to things I already had on hand.

Hmmmm..that bowl might need to be painted ORB or wrapped with burlap.....burlap is quicker.

I have enough of the green trim to do anything imaginable with.  There was a couple of small pieces of beaded trim that would be great for making a tassel.

The little gold and black strip of trim is just enough to trim a small lamp shade.  I've already checked to see if it would work on one I have.

Needless to say, you haven't seen the last of this stuff.

Went ahead and tweaked the arrangement some by taming down the twiggy things and adding burlap.

Do you like to shop at Good Will?  If so, hope you find some thrifty treasures too!

Using some of the trim I bought at GW to hold the burlap.

Partying tonight at Funky Junk Interiors for SNS.  Come on over!!
