Loving Neutrals

I often decorate with neutral colors.  To me, they are more soothing, especially in the master suite.

The paint color is Classic Taupe, Olympic brand I think. I bought this comforter set at Wal Mart, BHG brand.  It has micro suede blocks of fabric, which I really like.

Just pretend you don't see my CPAP machine on the night stand.  Keeping it real!
The runner on the dresser is the one I made from a drop cloth, and trimmed with burlap garland.

Now pretend you don't see the fan.  :) My husband drove a truck for over 40 years and got used to hearing the truck run while he slept, so we run a fan.  I know there are white noise machines, I have one--not the same.
These french doors lead into the sun room.

The neutral colors are carried on into the master bath.

Love my soaker tub.  I chose not to have jets.

The tub surround is porcelain tile exactly like that on the floor.  I really love this tile, and wish I had put the same tile in my kitchen, sun room, and breakfast nook.  It's so much easier to clean than what I have.

The husband loves white linens.  He can bleach them all he likes.  :)  Did I ever tell you he may be a neat freak?  Just sayin'.

Still keeping it real folks.  :)  My mirrors are framed with beveled mirror strips. I have enjoyed these.  When we built this home, brass fixtures were the rage, but they don't bother me at all.  They're good quality, and easily cleaned.

Well there you have it, a peek at the master suite at Sharing Shadymont.  Hope you enjoyed your tour!

I'm linking to a few good parties, and hope you'll drop by for a visit.

A Minimalist I Am Not

I really, really meant to  keep fall decorations low key this year, fewer, more neutral, yada, yada.  Did I?  No!  I keep bringin...
