There are few yard sales here at the lake, but I noticed a sign yesterday as we arrived, that there would be a "gigantic" one today. So I headed out this morning to see what I could find. It was a neat sale, held in a vacant home... vacant of people, full of stuff!! Clothes filled three rooms, all sorted by size. I didn't go through the clothing though, just the 'doo-dads'! There were lots of dishes, books, dvd's, cd's etc. Y'all know what a big spender I am. I spent $3.00!! Here's what came home with me.
This cute floral arrangement was a dollar. It has large roses, and rose buds that look so genuine. The vase is about the size of a 20 oz cup, and is shaped like one, but is terra cotta, covered with a striped design.
I knew I could find a spot for it since the flowers were clean and in good condition.
I bought the other three items especially for a table on the front porch.Isn't this a cute little bench? Red, white and blue with stars. I think I may take the raffia bow off. ($1.00) The little fairy was free. It had a broken wing, but I thought I may take it home and put it in the fairy garden.
The pink flower is a metal candle (taper) holder ($1.00).
I like the pop of color it adds to the tall narrow wall behind the t.v. The blue and white Currier & Ives plates were moved from this spot to the area above the stove.
A pot of fresh peas cooking on the stove. Yummmmmmm!!!!
Well....that's all folks!!!!!!!!!!
I'll be linking up at some wonderful parties this week, so stop by for some great fun!!
