Wanna Tour a Batchelor Pad?

.... Not just ANY batchelor pad!  My 22 year old grandson, Blake, has moved into his first place!  Well, actually, he's lived away from home for nearly 6 years, but always with roommates, in dorms, in shared homes and apartments, etc.  He recently accepted a full-time position as Worship Pastor at a church near Atlanta, and moved into an apartment near there.  He luckily found the perfect apartment and has started to furnish it.  It's two bedrooms/2 baths on the 2nd floor in a gated complex. Thankfully, it was extremely clean, with great colors, and laid out really well for privacy.  I asked if I could do a post on his place, and he said yes, so here it is!     (Photos taken with Iphone)

Great Floor Plan

All the walls are the same neutral color with lots of crown molding.

The kitchen is done in black and white, great for a guy!

It includes a large pantry.  (Door at right).

 Master Bedroom
(the day he moved in).
Walk in closet.

 Master bath
(each bath has a wonderful linen closet)
(behind the entry door)
Dining area, as you enter the door.
(contains a coat closet & utility closet)
This is a website photo of his dining room suite.  Triangular table and 2 benches. and 2 stools. He bought a counter height set, making it very versitile.  It's great for extra seating; the stools can be used at the table or bar, as can the benchs.  So it's a wonderful set up for him!

Built in desk area near the door coming in, and opposite the dining table.

(Excuse my purse sitting there)  :)

Nice size laundry area, in back hall way.
His mom gifted him a new washer and dryer.

Guest bath

Extra bedroom, will be used for music studio.
He plays many instruments and has plenty to fill this room so it will be filled with keyboards, guitar stands, filled with guitars, amps, etc.
2nd Walk-in closet, great for extra storage, and musical equipment.

Kitchen after furnishings were being placed.

I bought him a new microwave and vacuum cleaner for  housewarming gifts!

Gotta have that coffee!!

The first few days, there was only the tv and a recliner in the living room, until furniture could be delivered!  He already had these drapes from his last house in college, and they work great in here!

He has had this bedroom suite about a year, or two, with memory foam mattress.  The bench at the foot is attached to the bed, and makes a great place for storage, putting on shoes, etc.  He bought brown "black-out" drapes for the room.....gotta rest sometime!!

A new Larivee guitar sits in the corner.  He's a pro at trading instruments around to get what he really wants.  He's a great musician and song writer!!

Finally the furniture arrives!
Didn't he do a fabulous job choosing his living room suite?  It fits perfectly!
I found the large basket on the ottoman for him at a consignment shop.  Gotta corral those remotes.

 Another view of the room.
I think he has done an awesome job of matching everything, browns, blacks, and white.

No wall art yet.  He's still deciding on what he wants.

Here he is leading worship on Easter morning, blue shirt, dark jacket!!  (accompained by the Worship Team)

My sweeties!
L - R:  Blake, Pam (my daughter), Rheagan, my granddaughter

We are all so proud of the path Blake has chosen.  He truly is called to serve God through music and song.
Young people today have so many temptations facing them and there are so many paths they could take!  We are thankful that God gave him the talents for this job and provided him full time employment right out of college, and blesses him the way He does, and those he leads in worship!!

Hope you enjoyed seeing his apartment!
