Summer Home Tour

I have nothing new to blog about, but recently went through my photos, and compiled some for a home tour, so I will share that with you.

We live quite a ways off the road, near the back of a 10 acre tract in what once was an apple orchard.

We had our home built in 2000, and moved in on Dec. 5th, after 8 months of building! As you can see, the front porch goes down the front, and  side of the house.  The front dormers are in the attic, and the garage has a bonus room overhead.

Our home is a Southern Living House plan, by Architect, John Tee (Atlanta).
We have a full basement, unfinished, which is used for storage, but has a makeshift sitting area with a tv, and a fridge, table and chairs.  It's a good place to shelter during bad storms.

Hope you enjoyed this.  We will be painting the outside in a couple of weeks (maybe some on the inside).  We are going to paint the outside a darker gray, (Benjamin Moore, Stormy Sky).
The color I've chosen for my front door is Benjamin Moore, Wythe Blue.  Can't wait to get this done.  I'll be sure to share it!
