New Paint Colors for Home Exterior

We finally decided to have the exterior of our home painted!!  The previous color (Dolphin Gray), had faded terribly over the past few years, and showed dirt so badly.

Oh goodness, was I tired. of. the. color. of. my. front. door!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  No kidding!!  Blueberry, ugh!! 10 years of blueberry!!

Before (blueberry)

Finally, I have a new door color......Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore.

I looooooove. it.!!!

We didn't replace the shutters.  Strong winds pull them out of the hardiplank siding, so we decided to leave them off, and actually like it just as well.

I'm in love with the darker color on the body of the house.  It's called Stormy Sky, Benjamin Moore.

It's hard to tell in this photo, but the screened porch has been stained in Brick Red.  We are loving that as well. You can see the porch in this post.

We gave the garage a makeover, which I will share soon, and had both stairwells painted in a fresh color, Pisma Dunes.  Love that color too!  We have kept the colors fairly neutral, but went with darker hues in some areas.  It's a really nice change, that we hope to enjoy for quite a few years.  The interior is needing to be painted as well, or at least some of it needs painting.  It will be a while though before we tackle that project.  My husband can't stand for the house to be in a shambles, so I may have to do it a room at the time when he is away at the lakehouse without me.  :(   Our main living area, family room, dining room, foyer, and kitchen and breakfast nook, plus the sunroom are all kinda open to each other, so I want to have those done at the same time.  That wouldn't leave a whole lot more to do.  So maybe next year we can get that done.

Either way, I'm really happy with our color choices, and the painter has done a fabulous job!!
