Screened Porch Makeover

For the past 4 weeks, we have been in the process of getting our home exterior painted.  I will share more in a later post, but I wanted to show you the screened porch (in progress).  We painted the exterior in a darker gray (Benjamin Moore, Stormy Sky).  I chose solid color stain in BM Brick Red for the porch floor and railings.  I am delighted with the way it looks so far.  We removed the screen, and it will be replaced next week.  We had a variety of furniture on the porch, which we had the painter spray in the color of the house foundation, which is BM Metropolitan (a light gray). Now all the seating is one color which is much better.

I bought the two red plant stands from Lowe's.  I have a bench cushion ordered for the swing.  My husband had this swing from years ago.  It was so chippy, so we pressure washed it, then sanded, and had it painted so we could use it on the screened porch.

I'm using these pillows until my new cushion is shipped.

These chairs are very old consignment finds for $10.00 each.  Painted light gray, they look new.  We replaced the table. The one we had was oval, and much too large with the swing on the porch too.

This settee belonged to my MIL.  We gave it a coat of paint, too.  I made the burlap pillow a couple of years ago.

The chair to the right is the match to the settee.  I found this cushion on clearance at Lowe's for $7.49.

Gotta have a touch of fall!

I might purchase an area rug.... haven't decided for sure.

I'll be back soon with more pictures of the exterior.
